Last week, Brian Troxel chaired the Economic Development Day for the West Coast Chamber of Commerce Leadership 2012-2013 class with speakers focusing on manufacturing, retail & agriculture.
The morning session was hosted by Gentex where seven speakers gave presentations. Among those presenters were former Leadership graduates Chuck Reid, Jeff Disher, Kurt Wassink & Helen Zeerip. Additionally both Chuck & Jeff have been honored with the Chamber’s Small Business Person of the Year award.
The day continued at Haworth where the group of thirty enjoyed lunch, office & plant tours & five additional speakers. Randy Thelen & Nate Young led a discussion on economic development followed by speakers in the W MI Agriculture field.
For Brian Troxel being a 3rd generation Home Builder came after he proudly served his country in the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. This afternoon his granddaughter Samantha asked him to attend a Veteran’s Day celebration at her school where the students at Waukazoo Elementary presented a moving song filled tribute honoring all veterans.
Our Community – A Great Place to Call Home was one of the featured articles in the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce Fall Business magazine. Brian Troxel was pleased to be invited to share his thoughts & have the cover photographed at our 2012 Parade Home. Our homeowners find the Holland/Zeeland area a desirable place to live because of many factors. There are plentiful jobs, we are close to Lake Michigan, we have beautiful downtown’s, & the cost of living is reasonable. There are wide choices for education, place of worship, & recreational & cultural activities. The Troxel Company belief is that all adds up to a great quality of life.
